Statewide Star Party 2020 @ NCMNS Contentnea Creek

Celebrate the night sky with the rest of North Carolina during the Statewide Star Party. There will be games and activities for the whole family to enjoy. Explore the night sky in the Chia-yu Li Planetarium and with the help of amateur astronomers. Astronomical observing will feature the Moon and Venus early, and other celestial targets later, including star clusters and galaxies. These objects will be viewed directly through a number of telescopes including the 16-inch robotic telescope in the Kitty and Max joyner Observatory.

Event Schedule
7-8pm: Games and activities
8-9pm: Planetarium shows and stargazing
9-10pm: Observing in the Observatory
