Weekly Events
There’s always something to explore with our weekly programs, including HabiTOTs, Science Saturdays, Wilderness Weekends, and the Adventure Pass. Each program offers unique ways to connect with science and nature, from hands-on activities and animal encounters to outdoor exploration, kayaking, and planetarium shows. Join us at Contentnea Creek and Greenville each week for fun, learning, and adventure for all ages.
Monthly Events
Our monthly events bring fun and discovery to Greenville and Contentnea Creek. Kids’ Night Out offers K–5th graders an evening of movies, pizza, and themed science activities in a fun, supervised setting, while Starry Night provides a relaxed astronomy experience with a planetarium presentation and guided stargazing through observatory telescopes. Each is offered seasonally from September through May.

HabiTots Tuesday
Join us every Tuesday at 10:00 AM at Greenville in the Discovery Forest for a fun-filled preschool science adventure! Each week, children ages 2–5 will explore a new hands-on science activity designed to spark curiosity and a love of nature.
Adventure Pass
Spend your Saturday exploring with the Adventure Pass for just $10 per person! Every Saturday from 10:00 AM–3:00 PM at Contentnea Creek, enjoy unlimited kayaking and access to all planetarium shows.

About the Adventure Pass
Make the most of your Saturday with the Adventure Pass for just $10 per person! Available every Saturday from 10:00 AM–3:00 PM at Contentnea Creek, this all-day pass includes unlimited kayaking and access to all planetarium shows throughout the day.
Kayaking
Kayak on a calm, shallow pond, perfect for beginners and families! We provide all the gear you need, so all you have to do is grab a paddle and enjoy the water.
Your Adventure Pass includes unlimited kayaking all day, giving you plenty of time to paddle, explore, and have fun at your own pace.
Planetarium
Explore the wonders of the universe from the comfort of our theater-style planetarium. Enjoy an immersive journey through space with new shows beginning every hour from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Your Adventure Pass includes unlimited planetarium shows, so you can experience as many presentations as you’d like throughout the day.
More about the Planetarium
- Theater seating
- Show time at 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm
- Run times for each show range between 15 and 45 minutes
- Show times may be postponed for birthday parties
Kayaking Details
- A kayaking waiver must be signed before participating.
- All kayaks are designed for one person.
- Life jackets and paddles are provided.
- No lifeguard is on duty.
- Personal boats, kayaks, and canoes are not permitted.

A: Adventure Passes can be purchased at the front desk of the Nancy and John Bray Visitor Center at Contentnea Creek.
Q: Where can I use my Adventure Pass?
A: Adventure Passes are valid only at Contentnea Creek.
Q: How much do members pay?
A: Individual memberships include one free Adventure Pass every Saturday. Family memberships include one free Adventure Pass for each person listed on the membership every Saturday.

Need an evening away or a fun way for kids to kick off the weekend? Join us every third Friday of the month from 6:00–9:00 PM in Greenville for Kids’ Night Out!

Looking for a relaxing night under the stars or a unique way to start the weekend? Join us at Contentnea Creek on a Friday evening at sunset for Starry Night!
