ABOUT OUR FIELD TRIPS

 

INVOICING & FEES

Invoices will be emailed within five days of your program confirmation with the scheduling coordinator. $15.00 fee per student. Free Admission for one teacher or chaperone for every ten students in the group. $15.00 fee for each additional teacher, chaperone, or parent/guardian. $150 minimum fee for any guided program. Payment by cash, check or credit card is due prior to program. Please make checks payable to: A Time For Science.

MAKING A RESERVATION

Reservations can be made online, by phone at 252-364-2862 (Monday – Friday from 9:00am – 4:00pm), or by email at sam.eubanks@naturalsciences.orgWhat we need to know: School and contact information, Preferred dates. Number of students, teachers, and chaperones (1 adult for every 10 students required). Times of arrival and departure.

CLASS SIZE

Groups must consist of at least 25 students. Chaperone Requirements: At least one adult is required for every 10 students.  Additional adults and siblings may tour the building during program time. Teachers and chaperones are required to participate in programs and accompany students on the outdoor portion of the trip. All students must be with a chaperone at all times.

CANCELLATION

A minimum two-week notice in writing is required for refund. Groups that do not cancel will be billed the full amount of the program(s).

CANCELLATION DUE TO WEATHER

If the Museum or the group needs to cancel due to weather, the program will be rescheduled at the teacher’s request and as the Museum’s calendar permits.

SPECIAL POPULATIONS

Most programs can be tailored to meet the needs of special populations. Please indicate the special needs of your group when scheduling a program.
