Our Story
A Time for Science was founded by John and Nancy Bray, who are committed to enhancing science education and literacy in Eastern North Carolina. Their passion and investments into A Time for Science over the years have now firmly established this organization as a resource to the region as a branch of the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences. Although the organization is now operating under a vibrant Board of Directors and dedicated staff, John and Nancy’s motto remains, and that is to get people “Experiencing Nature- Doing Science- Having Fun”.
